Warehouse Consignment Program Lead 

 

Focus:

The Warehouse Lead of a consignment program is a direct labor position with responsibilities for controlling all warehouse functions within a client-owned facility.  This candidate is expected to operate in a safe manner, ensuring that all inbound, picking, packaging, and shipping functions are kept on time and up to the satisfaction of our direct client. This role has the accountability for directly following all written procedures at an offsite Millennium facility and is expected to make suggestions as needed in order to improve the operation.

5 accountabilities:

  • Utilize warehouse management system to make receiving, picking, packaging, and shipping procedures as efficient and effortless as possible
    • Manage all warehouse transactions to make sure they are prompt and accurate.
    • Adopt and deploy lean manufacturing strategies to improve your operations.

  • Monitor and manage local inventory
    • Monitor and manage local inventory
    • Conduct and report cycle counts on a weekly basis
    • Investigate inventory adjustments down to the root cause
    • Internally audit warehouse team activity, processes, and product for accuracy
  • Manage warehouse workload appropriately 
    • Create schedules and operating rhythms for the warehouse team
    • Make adjustments to schedules in order to ensure all work is completed accurately and on time for our client
    • Cross-train with warehouse team for efficiency 
  • Understand and report on warehouse activities
    • Serve as client liaison with a Millennium sales representative
    • Track all metrics required by the client site and use them to manage your operation
    • Report metrics of your operations during market L10s
    • Follow through on company initiatives
  • Manage facility equipment and grounds 
    • Regularly follow up on P.M. programs for equipment
    • Keep the facility in a good, clean, and safe condition by scheduling the appropriate maintenance on all aspects of the building
    • Verify that all grounds are kept maintained by local landscaping and snow removal companies

Daily Expectations:

  • Receiving delivered goods by use of our WMS
  • Stocking delivered goods in approved storage methods
  • Picking Sales orders as indicated on the shipping report
  • Packing Sales orders to protect all shipping goods from damage
  • Shipping Sales orders to meet client timelines and expectations
  • Leading client and contractor relationships by getting to know them and developing a professional bond

Weekly Expectations:

  • Cycle counting warehouse stock and reporting on item volumes
  • Tracking metrics pertaining to the throughput and velocity of the operation 
  • Reporting on trends to your direct supervisor  
  • Updating Sales team members on the status of received and shipped goods

Monthly Expectations:

  • Conducting monthly meetings with our client to ensure their expectations are being met operationally

  • Client feedback is used to measure success in this position.  Specific measurements of their feedback include:
